Astrology Workspace Tutorial
The purpose of this tutorial is to instruct you on how to use the Astrology
Workspace. We will do this by going through step by step how to put a
basic birth chart onto the Astrology Workspace, then to progress it.
Step 1 | Place a Basic Birth Chart onto the Workspace and Fill in the Details
First, select a Basic Chart from the Techniques Panel on the left of the
workspace window. Click this button and a basic chart will appear and be
selected. Then fill out the birth data on the panel on the right.

Step 2| Place a Progression Tehcnique onto the Workspace and Connect it to the
Basic Chart
Press the progression button on the techniques panel to the left. The
progression technique should appear on the workspace in the centre of the work
area.

The progression technique is on top of another technique. We need to then
move the progression technique to an appropriate place. (It is also
possible to drag and drop from the techniques on the left, which will avoid the
problem of techniques appearing on top of each other).
To move the progression technique, click and hold down the left mouse button
while over the technique, then move the mouse and the technique will be moved.

The technique has been moved.
Now we will square up the astrology workspace by panning. To pan the
astrology workspace, click and hold down the right mouse button anywhere in the
main workspace window. Then move the mouse and the workspace will pan.
Pan the workspace so that both the techniques are central in the window.
The workspace can always be centralised automatically by pressing the Zoom to
Workspace button, or selecting the menu item.

The techniques are centralised in the workspace.
Next we will select the source technique for the progression. To do this,
click the select source chart button on the right hand page.

A notice appears in the workspace window telling you to select the source
technique. Move the mouse over the basic chart, then click the left mouse
button. When the mouse is moved over the basic chart, it will be hilighted
letting you know that you can use this technique as a source for the
progression. Only basic charts and relocations can be used as a source
technique for a progression.

The basic chart is hilighted when the mouse moves over it. Click the basic
chart to select it. When this happens, the progression options will
appear, and the jump buttons enabling the progression to be explored in the
workspace, planetarium or report view.

Click on the Chart Explorer jump button, and the progression is viewed in the
Chart Explorer.
